HELD UNDER USA CYCLING PERMIT 2012-2973 / RACE HELD RAIN OR SHINE

Only the above listed race is permitted and sanctioned by USA Cycling. No other races or activities at the event are sanctioned by USA Cycling.

Start order grouped by Category or Age Group per USAC

Pre-register on-line to ensure entry as only limited “day of registration” slots will be available! (see below)
To qualify for the Championship you must race with your group/cat. “Day of” registration is limited and will be handled on a first come first served basis. When grouped slots are full then only the “exhibition” race will be offered as listed in the start order and will not qualify for the State Championship, no exceptions.

33km Pre-Reg: $35.00 (Day of reg: $45.00)

20km Pre-Reg Masters 60+ & Jr's: $25.00 (Day of reg: $35.00)

Day of Event Registration

Registration Opens 7:00AM

Registration Closes: 8:15 AM for 33km / 9:00 AM for 20km

Race Start Time: 9:00 AM

 

Course:

33km on the well known Harvard out and back big dipper course (20km for juniors and seniors).

Location:

Register at Milky Way Park near the corner of Lawrence and Brink St. (Rt. 173) Starting gate is just south of 173 on Flat Iron Rd.

Rules:

All USA Cycling rules apply. Helmets are required at all times while riding your bike at the race site. USAC license requirement (annual or one-day). To be eligible for a championship the rider needs to have an annual license with an Illinois address. 20K event distance applies to all juniors and age classes for Women age 60+, and Men ages 60+. 

Prizes:

Categories and Age Groups listed below with three or more entries will compete for State Championship Jerseys. To be eligible for a championship jersey you must: hold an Annual USAC license and be an IL resident and US Citizen. Cash Prizes for Overall Fastest Riders Male and Female: 1st: $75, 2nd $50, 3rd $25.  Medals for 1st/2nd/3rd in each category. 

Start times will be posted at: northbranchcycling.org  and emailed via bikereg.  Due to start order requirement, special start time requests cannot be addressed.
